Which means it won't. Silicone is better piping, flexible and retains it shape around fittings if you have to take it apart often. It's just you can't expose it to silicone lubes, it disintegrates eventually. Some jobs only silicone lube is allowed, and this doesn't seem affected by that. Long term, we will see.
