Review: but the results have been amazing! None of my Bermuda grass was harmed - I had Trugreen for a year, and still purchased Ortho Weed Be Gone with Crabgrass Killer to treat the weeds in between. I had more success with the Ortho product, so I fired Trugreen and decided to do it myself. The Ortho product was ok, but didn't offer the results I needed for my weed-infested yard that had been unattended for at least 2 years before I bought the home last year. A quick Internet search led me to Green Light, which was cheaper, and supposedly much more potent Ortho weed killer, so I figured it was worth a shot. The Green Light arrived in 2 days, and I eagerly mixed up a batch as soon as it arrived. I forgot to add the dish washing liquid, so I was sure to saturate the crabgrass thoroughly as I treated. Within a few days, I noticed the crabgrass starting to brown and curl up, but I wanted more. I mixed up a second batch maybe 3 days later, and this time, I added DW liquid. I had many large patches of well-established crabrass that that had already started shooting up long seedlings which always towered well above the rest of my grass, so I focused my attention on covering each patch thoroughly from base to leaf. Now I know I over-used the Green Light, but the results have been amazing! None of my Bermuda grass was harmed, and all of that ugly crabgrass died within days. I used a shovel to scoop up the patches, and they quickly started filling in with healthy grass without me seeding or plugging them. I was sure to water my lawn the night before applying the Green Light to help prevent chemical damage, as its been pretty hot and dry here in Atlanta. I would definitely recommend Green Light to anyone who is looking to get control of crabgrass. Trugreen tried convincing me I had to live with crabgrass til they could apply pre-emergent this Fall in hopes of preventing its return next year. It's never too late to kill crabgrass-even mature crabgrass that is stubborn and has been there a while. With a little patience and Green Light, I turned my yard around in less than a month!
Review: Works good, add a surfactant - This stuff works pretty well. I believe that a lot of the issues that is causing people in these reviews to have this not work is the fact that they are not adding any sort of surfactant to the hand can when they spray. if you do not have a surfactant, the chemicals will not completely coat the crabgrass and will instead bead up. also, if you are trying to apply this to crabgrass that is more mature, past the 3 till, you may need to use something more potent, like tenacity. I did a treatment on some areas along my driveway that was getting pretty overrun with crabgrass. Most of it turned brown within a week. a second treatment took care of a good portion of the rest of it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can u spray this on bahia grass and can u do it b4 october and after oct?**
A: I have a feeling that this will be harmful for bahiagrass. Your best choice would be apply benefin, bensulide, oryzalin, or prodiamine prior to germination. Timing is important for successful control. As a general rule of thumb, preemergence controls should be applied around February 1 in South Florida, February 15 in Central Florida, and March 1 in North Florida.Beware, the best method after applying a preemergence chemical is to remove the emerged grass weeds, such as goosegrass, crabgrass, or alexandergrass, by hand - sorry. I tend to use a rake - the crabgrass cannot grow properly and just rakes right out of the ground. Not a lot of muscle is required.

**Q: Can you spray near flower bulbs**
A: I wouldn't spray on any flower bulbs but near them should be OK.

**Q: Can This be applied the same time I apply my liquid fertilizer like 15-0-0 ?**
A: Yes but just be aware this product is a spot treatment and in the location you use it it will kill the crabgrass and the grass as well so any fertilizer in that area won't help.

I would do them 3-4 days apart.

**Q: Is this harmful to centiped grass**
A: I don't know but not goos for bent type grasses should read lable before you purchase look up product on line but does a great job on the crab grass

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works good, add a surfactant

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing - Killed in 3 days. So so good.
*by A***L on August 14, 2017*

I live near Niagara Fall Canada and ordered this online due to the good reviews as we cannot get any good weed killer any longer at our local stores due to the Ontario government banning the sale of it in stores (although your still allowed to use it if you can get it). There were some bad reviews but after using this product I don't understand why. This product was amazing. After 3 days the crabgrass was already turning brown, getting wilty and dying. The other weed killer I use for dandelions (Ortho B gon) and the creeping charlie weed killer (ortho B gon) takes about 1-2 full weeks to see some kill action start. This took literally 3 days. Amazing. I followed the direction. I used 5 fluid ounces for 1 gallon and used my little 1 gallon pressure sprayer. I sprayed on a hot day with hot weather in the firecast with lots of sun because that is when the weeds really sprout and grow. I assume the people who had problems either did not use the proper concentration, or sprayed on wet soil or maybe it rained the next day OR it was not sunny or hot enough OR they were spraying on something that looked like crabgrass but wasn't. For example, I sprayed this on Quackgrass to see how it would do but it did not touch it. Quackgrass can easily be mistaken from crabgrass but they are too different beasts and the Quinclorac (the chemical inside this product, I am a chemical engineer) won't work on Quackgrass..only on Crabgrass. You gotta do this in August and July during the high heat and when there is no rain. Worked amazing. Will buy again. Highly recommend.
