My rating for the sadist who glued the screws in that held it in the packaging wouldn't get any stars, except the ones he/she would see after I kicked the stuffing out of him/her. BUT, back to the clock ... + It is a good size for reading. + I view it at an angle, but the data is still fuly readable. + It takes three AA batteries instead of AAA, so they will last longer. + I love that it indicates the humidity inside as well as ouside. + it was easy to initially set up. I am in a location that radio signals barely reach, so I cannot depend on the atomic clock to set it. - I hope that the way the packaging screws were embedded into this one was an anomaly, and that yours unscrews easily. It took me 55 minutes to get it them out, and I have just about every hand tool made. I finally ended up nibbling away the bizarre plastic washer so that I could grip the screw head with a pair of wire cutters and break the bond to the plastic housing. Had I been able to get teh multiple layers of cardboard out from under them, I would have just left them in. I was NOT happy, but now that I am using the clock, I have calmed down.

A: Yes. It's as easy as pressing and holding the "Pressure" button until it beeps, then adjustments can be made via the + and - buttons.

**Q: what is the lowest outdoor this will read?**
A: -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 60°C)
Note: When temperatures are colder than -22°F
(30°C) it is recommended to use lithium batteries

A: No. Mine didn't come with a base

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ No backlight tap bar. Need good lighting to see it.

So far I am rating this a 4. It seems to be working as expected. This is not a high end unit and is only battery operated. It is used as a secondary unit from my main weather station which is on the East side of the house. This one is shaded during the morning sun so it gives an accurate temp for the West side. The one thing that should be included on this unit is the snooze/backlight tap bar. When going through the house in less than perfect lighting it's nice to be able to turn on the backlight for a few seconds. I had an Oregon unit that was only battery op for years and that had backlight.
