I was struggling to sharpening the Derwent pencils in the various sharpener that I use (A regular manual or battery sharpener, Faber-Castell sharpener, Prismacolor sharpener, and a Stampin up sharpener) because the Derwent pencil barrel is slightly larger it either wouldn't fit or it was extremely snug. I finally gave up trying to sharpen them as I was getting a blister trying. So I looked up if Derwent had a sharpener and ordered it (I had done this with my Prismacolors as they would break easily in a normal sharpener, so got Prismacolor sharpener which works great!). This Derwent sharpener works like a dream for my Derwents!!! Totally recommended this sharpener! It's a little hard to open to empty out. Other than that, it's a great sharpener.
