In terms of performance - none, with a quality drill bit it will go through most materials with ease, certainly better than a corded hammer drill. I also use the chisel action to chip out chases, again which it does with ease in brick & block. My only criticism is that it is a little heavy for a drill, but then it’s a chunky bit of kit and I would rather this than something flimsy. **Q: I have a dhr243z makita drill which stacpak box do i require and insert tray** A: No **Q: Does it comes with straight shank drill bits** A: It only comes with a sds chuck and a normal chuck. No box, charger, battery or drill bits. **Q: What makes this drill worth £100 more than the dhr242z model? anyone used both?** A: Only worth it if you can get use from a great feature.......You will get a SDS+ chuck and a good quality standard 3jaw chuck. AND these can be clicked on and off so the 3jaw works like on a standard drill with no slop or wobble. So many jobs may be done with just the one drill.. Even better as you can leave the bit in the chuck and swap.. socket or drill bit or wood bot or what ever??
