Review: Excellent Premium Product with no GMOs - This is an excellent product. I had stopped making tortillas several years ago because I didn't want to use the leading masa brand (GMOs), and others I tried didn't have the right texture (too gritty). Masienda is GMO free, has a beautiful silky texture when mixed with water puffs up nicely on the skillet, and tastes good. Love the light pink bag. Very happy to be making tortillas again. Pro tips: the right hydration is key, let dough rest after mixing, heat is critical (medium high-ish) and MOST IMPORTANTLY the first turn on the skillet is quick, as soon as vapor rises from the bottom of the tortilla, maybe 30 seconds. Second turn is when it just starts to brown on edges on bottom.
