It comes with a long bar and a couple of dumbell bars. The weights are concrete, enclosed in plastic; they are a little bulky, but are easy to handle. The long bar weighs only 7 lbs. and is 1 piece. It suits my needs just fine. I was looking for something to build up my upper body strength a little. I bought this after shopping locally at Wal-Mart & Academy. I didn't need a "super" set of weights. The clips that hold the weights on the bar don't really secure the weights very well, but I think I can make some kind of padding or something that will fix that. So you get what you pay for.
