That said, I don't know if I have an extra sensitive sense of taste/smell or something, but after a few chews I'm getting the wet dog smell, metallic taste. I've started biting each one just enough to break it up to swallow with water and quickly move on to my next chewable and then brush my teeth. For the price, digestive gentleness, and effectiveness of these, I can work around the taste factor.

These do the trick for my anemia. I can tell from my #2's. I had to space them out to one gummy in the mornings and one at dinner. So in that perspective I can tell they are working. Only downside I see is they don't taste the best. They are a bit gritty and heavy. It is difficult to explain. I have a lot of gummy vitamins for myself and my children. these are not gummy texture. It is more like a soft candy. The flavor is not the best but I do not have any other iron gummies to compare it to. I gave a bottle to my daughter at college as she is also anemic. She does not mind the texture or flavor. After these are gone I will be trying a different brand to have a better comparison and review.
