APPLICATION BOTERM GTA is used in the footwear industry for bonding of natural and synthetic leathers to soles made of rubber, tunit, styrogum and leather, as well as for manual hobnailing the uppers to insoles made of insole materials, shankboards and composition leather. It is suitable for bonding materials commonly used in the manufacture of leather-luggage, handbags, wallets, belts, etc. It is also used for bonding leather, synthetic leather, fabrics, polyester and polyether foams, rubber, felt, some types of floor-coverings, cork, cardboard, fibreboard to each other and to metals, wood, rigid PVC and concrete. Adhesive is well suited for bonding components upholstery in cars, bacon doors, headliners like sheet metal or wood. DIRECTIONS OF USE Bring the adhesive and materials to be joined to room temperature. Stir well the adhesive. Abrade smooth surfaces of attached elements, remove small particles and dust carefully. Apply the adhesive on both surfaces. In case of absorptive materials (e.g. fabrics, leather) apply the adhesive twice – second layer about 20 minutes after first. Wait about 15 minutes to evaporate solvents. It is recommended to use the heat-activation in order to get higher strength of weld (about 55?C for 3 minutes). Join the elements and press them under 0,4 – 0,5 MPa for 15 seconds. Weld reaches full strength after 3 days.
