**Q: what is the max wind speed this can handle? I presume it needs to be taken down in winds above max rated speed?**
A: Never taken it down it works well I high winds but not very good at low wi do speeds

**Q: what is the flange dimenson so i can mount on a scaffold pole**
A: Andrew,
Can't remember off hand, but had a reducer attachment fabricated at my local smithy then fixed onto scaffold pole then erected 20 feet to get some wind. Sorry this does not really answer your question though ... take the flange end to your local blacksmith and get him to make something that will mate with pole. Not sure if unit will clamp on to scaffold pole right away either as an easier alternative?

This is very well made, I would recommend for use in open ground but not in an urban environment. The main downside side is it starting it wouldn’t start/run at 6-8 M/s on a 4M pole. I cannot recommend this for an urban environment but I’m sure it would work well in an open space with nothing to cause wind turbulence. 4 stars give for the starting speed.
