The power cable would then be at a different corner, and the power button on the side instead of bottom middle. Wiring is very simple, I cut off the regular outlet socket and wired white and black into the lighting fixture above the mirror. Speakers are pretty good, no base but still great. Mirror does not fog up. Alexa Dot and this mirror go hand in hand. After our installer put it on the wall, 30 seconds or so, the bracket on the back came off and fell, breaking glass around the lights and the mirror it self. If you buy this I would suggest taking the bracket off the back and re glueing with construction adhesive or liquid nails. It looks really cool and modern.The Bad:Like many others have commented on, one of the plates on the back of the mirror that allows the magnets on the light strip to attach to the mirror popped off so I had to reattach it with adhesives (not a real big deal).The power button stays illuminated 24/7 which is not a bad thing per say, but it is far too bright in my opinion. You will not need a night light it's that bright!The Plug: Thank goodness I was remodeling my bathroom because the plug would be a problem for most people that do not have a recessed outlet ready for this mirror. I do not think you'd be able to plug it in if your outlet is flush with the wall. This should come with a low profile plug that will be more universal otherwise, as others have commented, you'll have to cut the wire and modify so you can plug it in. (For which I'd be willing to bet will void any warranty).The Good:Easy to hang with the supplied metal "french cleat" type hardware. I'm glad they designed the hardware with little lips on both ends that prevent the mirror from being slid off the hardware. You have to lift the mirror up to get it off the french cleat bracket to remove. In short, it seems very secure to the wall.I was actually surprised by the quality of sound from the speaker. Based on some reviews I was not expecting much but with my phone it sounds pretty good.
