I have a large battery pack with built in AC inverter.I bought this DC adapter in hopes that not running the AC inverter would save an appreciable amount of power and I wouldn't have to recharge the battery as often.With the AC adapter I get 4 days of use before a recharge. With this DC adapter I get 4 days of use before a recharge.DC adapter is great if you NEED DC power, not helpful otherwise.It works exactly as intended though, so I'm not knocking the product or returning it.
