Stitching is solid and there are no obvious dangling threads or anything. It is thinner than one would traditionally associate with a bomber jacket, landing about midway between a puffy bomber jacket and a thin Eisenhower jacket. Your mileage may vary, but I live in the deep south and appreciate that I can actually wear this for upwards of several weeks a year. Now, we must, I suppose, discuss the patch work. They are a fresh take on the traditional patches, very close to the real thing but just slightly different. The American flag is printed instead of embroidery. The NASA meatball is just slightly off. The kerning is off on "100th Shuttle Mission." This does have the large silky patch sewn into the back lining of the jacket, but it refers to a "Clevo P150 SM-A" which I have discovered is a laptop model, so one could imagine the copy and paste function became involved. If this is a gift for a very strict and pedantic space nerd (say, Neil deGrasse Tyson), these differences may be an issue. I find them fascinating and quite adorable.
