The warmth last for a long time. One mistake I did when I used in the first time was that I sticked it to my clothing only after getting out in very harsh cold weather and then I found it not working. But I gave it another try the second time when i used it I sticked it and waited for like 10- 15 minutes for it to get warm and I head outside. So the second time it actually worked well and kept my chest warm.
