It arrived in in a well-made carton with foam protection in an additional desertcart box. The outside box was dinged, but the foam protected the cutter. Easy to set up, with included printed directions. Very well made, heavy with good engineering and precision manufacturing. That said, it's slightly unsquare (1/16" off per 11"), as the blade is not exactly perpendicular to the right hand edge of the cutter. Not a big problem, as you can adjust the back stop to be parallel with the blade, so that the final cuts are square. It cuts extremely well. Overall, I'm very pleased with this cutter which should hold up for many years to come. A great value. Review: Excellent 5 star review!! - Excellent 5 star amazing product. INCREDIBLE quality. Simple 3 step assembly. Sliding handle on, placing foot pads under each corner & flipping the clamping handle. (unscrewing /reverse & screw back on). Evenly cut paper with EASE. Reduced so much time I’d normally spend on my regular paper cutter. Precise, simple and excellent quality. So happy I purchased. If you’re in need of something like this don’t hesitate to purchase. I bought the larger cutter. A word of caution, just beware, DO NOT cut the staple with the blade. I ignorantly did this myself and left a gouge in my blade which then scars every cut thereafter until it is sharpened out or replaced. **Q: How many sheets does it cut at one time?** A: Hello,The cutter is rated to cut 400 sheets at a time, this however will change depending on the weight of the paper. You can see videos on Youtube of it cutting through a entire phone book with ease.Sincerely,HFS **Q: Can you actually SEE where the blade comes in contact with the paper or do you need to rely entirely on the grid?** A: Yes, you can see where the blade contacts the paper. You have to push the handle down a bit to see where the blade will land on the paper. Once you get the hang of it it is possible to cut quite precisely. If you have crop marks on the paper being cut you can align to them and cut accurately. It is not perfect, but it is very good. The best way to align is to put in the paper, pull the handle down a bit to see where the blade will land, position the paper accordingly then tighten down the paper clamp so the paper can't move, check once more where the blade will land, then make the cut. **Q: Does it come with a warranty?** A: This is what was noted on the user manual that came with the cutter - "The limited-warranty period on our cutters is 1-year from Date of Purchase. The warranty does not cover blades, feet, knobs, cutting sticks, safety pins, or customer negligence. Shipping damage claims must be submitted within one week of received the product. Returns are accepted within 30 days of date of purchase, no exceptions." ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent cutter. *by A***R on August 14, 2026* As a retired printer for over 50 years I was a little hesitant. Sliding handle on, placing foot pads under each corner & flipping the clamping handle. (unscrewing /reverse & screw back on). Evenly cut paper with EASE. I bought the larger cutter. Perfect 👌 ### ⭐ DONOT BUY THIS PAPER CUTTER *by E***N on August 27, 2026* DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! IT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF SPACE AND MONEY. If I could give it a negative 5 star review I would - neither the material or the customer service deserves even the one star that I have to give. While this product appears to be well made, and easy to use, it only cuts 1/2 of the paper and when I called the company as directed by amazon to get support the owner who told me his name was "sorry about that" stated it was a leveling problem - he directed me to the the website to fix it - I was impressed by the idea that the company had support readily available but when I watched the video it told me absolutely nothing - I followed the steps the best I could to level the blade but it still only cut half the paper. I attempted twice to follow both the video and the written instructions and then call the company back - I was told sorry it is not my problem and there is nothing I can do. So now I am out the money I paid for it as well as the work that I can not complete and the time and the energy that i've wasted. It is a shame because the item does appear to be well made out. The material it is made out of is heavy steel, and it has a decent protective guard and safety lock on it - from what I can tell it seems to cut the bottom half of the paper with ease - but I can't block the paper off because I can only use the middle section. in the end I do not suggest it because regardless of how well it is made, the material it is made out of or the size, if it only cuts through half the paper it is useless. "So osrry about that" was less that stellar with his customer service and hung up on me several times when he realized he had nothing to say. I do NOT recommend. ## Frequently Bought Together - HFS(R) Heavy Duty Guillotine Paper Cutter 400 Sheet Capacity | Solid Steel Construction (A4-12'' Paper Cutter) - HFS(R) Heavy Duty Guillotine Paper Cutter 400 Sheet Capacity | Solid Steel Construction (A4-12'' Cutter Blade) - Thermal Binding Machine 500 Sheets Capacity Book Binding Material 110V Binding Machine A3(Short Edge)/A4/A5 Document Heat Binder --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/531825556-heavy-duty-guillotine-paper-cutter-400-sheet-capacity-12-inch](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/531825556-heavy-duty-guillotine-paper-cutter-400-sheet-capacity-12-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
