With my triangular windows, I hose them down from the outside (most of the dirt is outside anyway), then let machine clean inside and outside as best as it can and they don't look bad. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tips for Hobot 198 *by L***R on September 26, 2020* After using it for several windows, this is what I learned:1. Cold windows on a cool day cause Hobot to struggle if the yellow cloths are wet.2. If the yellow cloths are too wet, Hobot will slide around and will have trouble moving the way he's supposed to.3. I had to do several passes on my windows because they were very dusty and grimy.4. Doing one (or two or three) pass with some liquid, followed by another pass with completely dry cloths gives a good result.5. For mysterious reasons, Hobot decides sometimes that he's all done, even though he only did a small part of the window. To reset it, remove it and replace it on the window. Because of this, I supervise Hobot while he's working so I can monitor his reluctance to do the whole window.6. I settled on putting Hobot at a top corner of the window (either by hand or using the up arrows), then using the arrows to move him back and forth at the top, then starting the "upward" auto sequence. Hobot goes up to the top, then works his way down. He has an easier time going down than up.7. At the end, I took a cloth to wipe off the last marks Hobot leaves upon finishing the window.8. Hobot is on the noisy side, so those photos in the ad with the person sitting and relaxing while Hobot is washing the windows is a bit misleading. It's not relaxing to be next to Hobot while he's working. But, it's really great to be able to do other things while the window gets automatically cleaned. This does great for our floor to ceiling windows on 17 ft and 14 ft ceilings in San Antonio. We learned a hack, just use a swiffer stick pad to clean the loose dirt off the high rise windows, first. Also, while the hobot is running, spray window cleaner once or twice on the really dirty areas. The hobot cleaner can clean it up like super clean. No streaks or whatever those basic reviewers complained about.It was amazing the cleanliness this product delivered.EDIT: he says that it did not save any time because he watched it in case it fell off the windows. But he says it did save amount of work being done.
