Two hours a day in the gym did that.What I WILL tell you is that they are excellent beneath workout gear. For those of you that are large in the hip area (ladies, you know that front part that plagues us all), these shorts are fantastic at streamlining. If you feel self-conscious when working out--I myself feel like a thigh is going to take out an entire city block--these pants will help alleviate that. I wear mine beneath workout capris, and I am not mortified to be seen in workout pants in public.After an hour-long stint in the gym or in a class, when I take these off, I am always absolutely soaked, even if I don't do an intense workout. My legs warm up much, much faster with these, so I have cut down on the time I spend gearing up for my actual routine (I spend about 15 minutes on a treadmill, some of the most boring 15 minutes of my life).To give you an idea on the size, what many reviewers have said is true: the shorts run pretty large, but they are not long. I'm 5'4", and the shorts come just to the top of my knees. I got a medium, and at the time, I probably should have ordered a large because I was over 200 pounds, easily.Now, with a large percentage of that weight a memory, I find they fit like a tailor made them.Fair warning: you will see a lot of reviews that complain these pants stink, and yes, when you first open them, they do because they're NEOPRENE. Neoprene isn't ever going to be a cologne, nor will Renuzit make the odor into a room spray. Air out the pants somewhere you won't have daily contact with them, then toss them in the wash. Mine still smell vaguely scuba-suit, but not nearly what they did originally. Baking soda in your wash water can mitigate the stink.OH! And so you know...don't think you can wear these multiple times without washing. No, no, no, that is a mistake you will live to regret, as will anyone in a 50-mile radius of you. This material does not breathe at all, so it holds sweat and stink and funk like you can't even imagine. I tried to wear mine twice in a row to some exercise classes, and I was sure they were going to kick me out for violating everyone's olfactory sensibilities. Even airing them between workouts will not save you. Your sweaty crotch and that unforgiving neoprene will get together and make a smell so bad, you'll confess to things you never did.The only reason I didn't give these five stars is because the crotch area of the shorts could be better designed. As at least one other reviewer pointed out, the shorts ran (like pantyhose do) in the crotch area. It's not threatening the integrity of the garment, but I don't know that this would be comfortable if I weren't wearing another pair of pants over them. I'm still using them in spite of the runs, and to this point, I've not had an incident involving them splitting like a banana in an ice cream parlor. I think the manufacturer would do well to reinforce this area with a special panel or different stitching.They're great if you want to sweat your a$$ off, that's for sure. I purchased these to replace a pair of similar exercise shorts that I have used for 3 years (the fabric is getting very thin). the only complaint that I have about these shorts is that the size I purchased (small) have a low rise in the back; other than that, they fit great and the next size up would have been too large. When I first received these shorts and took them out of the package, I was afraid they would be too small overall as they are pull-on shorts, but they were easy to put on and are very comfortable while I am using my treadmill (an hour daily) and doing chores around the house. I would recommend this product to others while bearing in mind they may be a little low in the back, depending on your measurements/size. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MY PICKY STAMP OF APPROVAL *by P***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2015* I normally wear a Medium or 8-10 in clothes, but I ordered a small based on some of the reviews I read advising to order a size down. Well - they were absolutely right. It fits perfectly! They are comfortable and doesn't cut off my circulation. The fabric is neoprene and lightweight and holds a ton of sweat in the fabric. After a vigorous walk/run routine, I was dripping with sweat! Word of caution - DO NOT wear light colored cotton shorts over this because you'll really be embarrassed when your entire inseam soaks through your pants making you look like you just had an "accident". You don't even know it's happened until you sit down and notice you've leaked through your clothes making it look like you've peed yourself. Lol! My advice is to wear it without anything on top. Don't worry so much about the "swish" sound. Who cares? If it bothers YOU - listen to some music or a good book in your headphones. I also machine washed and air dried it before wearing it the first time.
