Much too big and not very "pliable" for a straw hat, which is good and bad. I am a mid 40s woman with lots of hair, wanted something that I could take on vacation (to South Africa) where I could stand the heat and not worry about my hair all the time. The first one is similar but without the ventilation...anyway....I returned the hat and the service from Ultrafino was BEYOND AWESOME. They not only returned very quickly, the rep suggested I try this vented one in a smaller size and it was perfect. The quality is great, and it looks sharp. Definitely buy a size down though. I went from a large to a medium and even the medium is a tiny bit too big. This Fedora is perfect for those sunny days out on the links. The large brim extends over your eyes and keeps the sun burn off your neck. The light straw construction is the right material as well. Ball caps have a usually trap the heat in on the top your head this wonderful hat is vented to allow a more even flow of air and heat. Usually the hat band on the ball caps gets sweaty. Not so with Fedora.
