Review: Excellent For School Uniforms - My daughter attends a private Catholic school which requires her to wear black leather shoes. My child cries with any discomfort in her life(wimp). She plays very hard in these shoes, and had never complained about discomfort. She never complains about putting them on every morning (big win for me, because I have to dress her in the morning). In three months of solid use I have had to polish these shoes twice. They look brand new again after being cleaned and polished. Cons: 1. Velcro straps pick up sock lint and begin to look dirty after a week or so. It is pretty easy to clean it out though. 2. Not a much support as other Stride Rite shoes. My daughter has tripped over he own feet twice wearing these, and skinned her knees up pretty good Pros: 1. Breathable and cool 2. A 3 year old can easily put these shoes on without help 3. She would say if they weren't! She has a wider foot and a higher rise. These fit great. I ordered Wide so they fit as they suppose to. My daughter does not love these for only one reason, that they are plain black. But they are uniform shoes so they need to be black. She also says that she feels like she is stomping when she wears them. I guess that could be a problem for a girl. They look cute and match everything, but I might like them more than my daughter.
