I normally don't pay $45 for shoes but this was an impulse purchase as I couldn't find my normal brown boots. Once I received them, I immediately tried them on. I had on thin wool socks and couldn't even zip them up in the back so when I got home I tried them on with a thinner pair of socks. I wore them the next day and by midday my feet were killing me. They are definitely boots for evening or sitting as after a couple hours they are very uncomfortable. I am a true size 7 and these seemed on the small side. I think the added platform on the toe box made these extremely narrow to be able to fit feet into them. Have to send back and exchange for an entire size up. I wear a 7 but in JS heels I have to get a 7.5 but this style ran an entire size small. Hard to zipper in the back and I have a thin foot. Based on the feel of the boot a 7 1/2 would have been more appropriate for me. They are snug as I mentioned if you like a loose fit around your foot and you want to wear slightly thicker stockings or tights go with a half size bigger is my recommendation.
