I want the hessian for a rug.** A: Hello, it is the same hessian. This is a 5 metre length instead of a 2 metre length. **Q: Is this suitable for use to cover the base of chairs? Will it take weight without tearing?** A: I would not recommend this product for the base to your chair... I don’t think it was take weight very well....it would also fray. **Q: Hello. Would this be suitable to use on a cat scratching post? Thank you in advance.** A: Hi there Maybe but I think the claws could get stuck in the threads of the fabric. It might do as a base on the post then wrap thick string around it ( glue it on) sorry I’m no expert just a guess . **Q: Can this b used to put on walls** A: This is hessian fabric - fairly open weave -and nothing else. Whilst it could be put on a wall it would be pretty difficult to apply and to fix with glue. I don't think it would look good. The normal hessian wall covering is more like wallpaper with a paper backing. That is pasted on just like ordinary wallpaper ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 July 2026* Perfect for lining baskets for my pond plants.
