Fits in your pocket. No tools needed. Works on open swinging doors. Set up or remove in about 5 seconds. Is effectively a quick easy way to lock any average door in your house. Perfect at keeping out your landlord, housekeeping at hotels, or anyone else that you want to keep out. Keys are ineffective at opening a door that is locked with one of these. The best part is that absolutely no modifications need to be made to the door or frame or anything else. It uses no key so your landlord cannot request one or make you pay for modifying the lock. Its cheap, effective, easy to initiate, no installation needed, light weight, portable, durable enough. Its a no brainer! Buy it if you are considering it.

Been staying out of town every week for work so got this. Absolutely worth every penny and one purchase I am glad I made. Easy to use. The door does not budge once fully engaged and tightened. Not only did I try it, but I forgot to put out the do not disturb sign and housekeeping tried it. I feel secure in my room now. I used to always put my purse on the floor right next to me but now I leave it on the dresser. The only thing is the metal does leave a tiny dent in the door frame so if you're in a fancier place where that might be a problem you might want to put something under the metal piece. This is absolutely not leaving my travel bag. I plan to buy a couple more in the near future. One for my house. A cheap way to add security.

We bought these for use on a couple exterior doors when we were away for vacation as extra security. The design is nice and simple and once installed they really do a good job of keeping the door closed. The issue we had was that our door has wood trim around it so it was very difficult to find a way to make the winged washer fit. Maybe if the threaded bolt in the middle was about an inch longer it would have been a lot easier. Other issue is that since our trim was wood, when I tightened it up I made a slight dent in the wood and for one in my garage I even had to notch the wood a bit to make it fit.I would still recommend if you want that added sense of security for your home or room.
