Unlike this cheaply made one, which left strong plastic smell in the boiling water. The Aroma one I owned has a very solid and decent quality, producing very pure taste of water even after 4 years' of use. I have never cleaned the inside of the aroma kettle with soup, and it still rust free. The only reason I gave this one a try is because Aroma has stopped manufacturing that model, and I need an additional one. I am very disappointed about this one and will return it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ watch the lid. *by F***R on April 25, 2018* ok. so here is the thing w this kettle. It broke after a few months. The lid wouldnt close, and it wouldnt turn off. I sent an email to the company. They asked for pictures, which I sent. She immediately told me it was defective and within two days, I got a new kettle. So far, working great. The customer service is outstanding. ### ⭐ Don’t buy. First week the cheap stainless began to pit at the bottom. 3 months lid stopped fully closing. 5 months no shut off at boiling. 6 months heavy burning plastic smell.
