This freeze dried cat food helps preserve the real meat aroma and flavor cats instinctively recognize—helping entice picky eaters, reduce food boredom, and encourage consistent eating. The light, crunchy mini nibs provide a satisfying texture that mimics natural feeding behavior, creating a more engaging eating experience than traditional dry cat food or kibble. With meat-first nutrition, it supports digestion, strong teeth, a healthy coat, and overall wellness. Serve as a complete and balanced meal or use as a cat food topper or mixer with dry or wet cat food to add variety and nutrition to your cat’s routine. Many cat parents choose to pair freeze-dried raw food with wet food as part of a mixed feeding approach that introduces raw nutrition while maintaining familiar feeding habits. The bite-sized format also works well in automatic feeders, offering a convenient way to provide raw nutrition throughout the day. Start by adding a small amount and build from there—even a little raw can help support long-term health and more moments together. Available in a variety of protein options, Vital Essentials makes it easy to rotate recipes, support finicky felines, and add variety to your cat’s dish while delivering minimally processed nutrition at every life stage. Made in North America’s largest freeze-drying facility for pet food with responsibly sourced ingredients and rigorous quality standards, Vital Essentials makes it simple to feed raw—so you can feel confident in what you’re serving every day. Review: Good stuff - Really good product. Single ingredient dry treats . My cats love it . Its way healthier than alot of the processed cat treats out there. Review: My cats love it - This food is so fresh that my one of my cats thinks it’s alive! Let me explain. If I give her regular kibble, she just eats it. However, when I put this freeze dried food into her bowl, she picks out a piece and then bats it around for about five minutes before pouncing on it and eating it. I find a few random pieces when cleaning, but other than that, I find it amusing and I will continue to purchase this food so she can continue to practice her hunt. My other cat is lazy and just gobbles it down without hunting or killing it first. :-) ## Features - CHICKEN FREEZE DRIED CAT FOOD – CRUNCHY MINI NIBS 8 OZ BAG: Complete and balanced raw cat food made with 96% chicken, organs, and bone. Each and every Vital Essentials product is made in our very own facility located in Wisconsin. Our manufacturing facility proudly carries the Global Food Safety Initiative FSC22000 Certification and is EU and Gluten-Free certified. **Q: Do I need to add water to freeze-dried food?** A: Our crunchy nibs are designed to not rehydrate in water, which helps to maintain their crunchy texture. If you prefer to rehydrate your pet's freeze-dried food, our soft nibs and patties rehydrate easily! **Q: Is it normal for raw freeze dried food to have an aroma?** A: Yes! Since our foods are made with high levels of meat, you can expect the food to have a meaty aroma. Some proteins have a more noticeable aroma than others. **Q: What if my pet has tummy issues after eating raw freeze dried food?** A: Any change in diet comes with a chance of digestive upset. This is why we recommend a slow transition over the course of 5-7 days when changing your pet's food! This helps give your dog or cat plenty of time to adjust to his or her new diet. **Q: What if my pet doesn't like his new food or treat?** A: We're confident that your pet will LOVE Vital Essentials, but all animals have preferences! If the first product you try isn't a hit with your dog or cat, we offer a wide variety of proteins and textures that we're sure will be a great fit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stuff *by J***K on August 10, 2026* Really good product. Single ingredient dry treats . My cats love it . Soft & Clumped, Made My Cat Blood-Stool, Ghosted by Service!Do not buy! *by K***R on July 25, 2026* The quality of this freeze-dried food has plummeted, and it is honestly dangerous for pets.1st Purchase: Everything was great. The freeze-dried pieces were dry, perfectly crispy, and my cat liked them.2nd Purchase: I noticed a huge amount of clumping inside the bag. Unlike the first bag, the surface of the food felt damp and soft rather than crispy. I didn't think much of it at first, but after eating it, my cat got severe diarrhea and started passing bloody stools. It took me forever to find the root cause, but as soon as I stopped feeding them this food, my cat recovered.3rd Purchase: I foolishly assumed the second bag was just a rare bad batch, so I ordered again. To my shock, the third bag was exactly the same—massive clumping, damp to the touch, and completely lost its crispiness. I tried feeding it to my cat, and they immediately got diarrhea again. This completely confirms the food is the problem. To make matters worse, their customer service is an absolute joke:You cannot request a simple refund. They force you to go through Customer Support to explain the whole situation first.I tried calling the company multiple times. Nobody ever answers, and they never return my phone calls. The trust is completely gone. Two consecutive bags with the exact same clumping, damp texture, and illness issues prove this is a widespread quality control failure, not an isolated incident. My cat suffered, and I wasted my money. Avoid this product at all costs! ## Frequently Bought Together - Vital Essentials® Freeze-Dried Raw Chicken Entree & Mixer Cat Food Crunchy Nibs, 8 oz - Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Single Ingredient Cat Treats, Chicken Hearts, 0.8 OZ - Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Cat Treats, Salmon Bites, 1.1 oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/532517636-freeze-dried-cat-food-chicken-crunchy-mini-nibs-8-oz](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/532517636-freeze-dried-cat-food-chicken-crunchy-mini-nibs-8-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
