They're cheaper than the "Perler" name brand and are functionally the same. I did have an issue with one of the colors of brown, the entire batch was slightly wider than the rest of the beads so they ended up popping out. Only a problem with my first time purchase, not the second. Cons: You will need more black and white than provided, even though the give you additional. Many projects use a ton of black and white beads. You may not be able to find an exact color match for a replacement and is often more economical to buy an entire new set. I ran out of the light brown and the color was in-between Toasted Marshmallow and Sand in Perler swatch. I had to put that project aside until I ran out of enough beads to justify repurchasing this set. Overall, I would purchase this a third and forth time. It's just such a good deal and you get a lot of supplies too like the keychains and pin boards.
