I am 5'4", 127 lbs, bust 36, waist 27 (narrowest part of my waist). I decided on the medium for the bust measurement and it is snug (as it should be) but comfortable. I can breathe fine when it's on.I, too, had an issue with the side zipper - it is sewn too close to the 2 seams that come in perpendicular to it at the waist. I pulled the zipper up and down several times before even putting it on, so it would stretch and loosen a bit. It is still a bit of a struggle to get it past those 2 points, but so far it's working. I'm trying hard not to break the zipper as others have done. It is a bit difficult to zip up and down by myself, but my husband helps me if necessary.The sleeve/shoulders are loose enough to be comfortable dancing. I also purchased a 26" petticoat to go underneath. The dress is not as long as I was expecting based on others' reviews. The petticoat sticks out just a teeny bit at the bottom (not objectionable). The skirt comes to about 2" below my knee, which is very pleasing. I think it also looks very nice without a petticoat.I wear the belt on the second hole in. The skirt is also thick, so no one can see any silhouette through the fabric.
