Mine had something that looked like a split directly in the center, but not completely across the board. You can't feel it, it's hard to tell if it's a natural thing or if it was glued back in, I kept it because I liked it. For the most part, it looks really nice. It big luxurious nice handles and the blood grooves are good. The split itself doesn't seem natural but again it's hard to tell and that's only because it goes straight down. 3/4 of the block passed the blood groove and around towards the handle. It had no intentions, works well. I've had it for about a week or maybe a couple days. Use it all the time. Don't see any problem with. It seems sturdy so far. I would've loved to give it a five star if it didn't have that groove that looks like a cut directly in the middle, but it's not super noticeable unless you're looking for it. The thickness is very well and it's constructed nicely again. It seems to be a luck of the draw when it comes to a split because I've heard a few people saying similar but other than that, I just decided to keep it.
