It was only the book and did not have the dwarf doll included as the picture shows. I got this as a gift for someone so I had to give them the doll from mine that I got a few years ago

Only the book!! After reading the other reviews- I decided to chance it and hoped I’d get what the picture showed: both the book and doll...And nowhere in the description did it say it was ONLY the book. Well it was only the book, but like I said- other people said the same and others got only the doll! Some got both. I wasn’t lucky and really want the doll too! Otherwise the book is in ok condition- not the best binding. It’s an ok book- my kid likes it but it’s nothing great...would’ve been a million times better with the actual Dwarf doll.

The doll, packaging and illustrations are great - the story however is very lacking. It rhymes and has a few funny lines, but just doesn't deliver a clear, clever story. My ten year, who loves stuffed toys, plays with the doll quite a bit. However, after we finished the story she asked "So, I'm not supposed to like our elf?"
