The lift goes up and down much easier since we sprayed the black squares with silicone spray. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by C***A on 16 February 2016* This is a wonderful design for a sewing cabinet, when things are packed away and the doors/lids are closed this makes a nice piece of furniture. Parts for this item came in three boxes and putting the cabinet together was fairly straight forward. However, some of the instructions did not make sense and we had to re-do a couple of things, but they were minor and all turned out just fine with no extra pieces/parts leftover. The lift comes already attached - the only thing that needs to be attached to the lift is the platform which your sewing machine will sit on. The pre-drilled holes were not in the right place and we needed to make the adjustment to make it work.
