The TYMO Straightener Brush with a high temperature of 450 degrees is what I purchased. I purchased this item in anticipation of trying something new. I got a short hair cut that left the hair a little longer on the top, short on the sides and very short in the back. My hair is natural. Prior to the haircut I would wash my hair, roll it and sit under the dryer. With the new hair cut my hair is too short to use rollers. I have a hot comb. If I used it in the back I would burn myself. So my purchase of the TYMO Brush was perfect. I swipe it two to four times and the hair in the back and sides are straight. I also would like to say I put the brush right on my scalp and it is not hot nor does it burn my scalp. What I don't like is that it's not easy to clean and it my hair doesn't seem to stay straight. I am mixed race (1/2 white and 1/2 black) so I have thick, curly, dense hair and it's nearly to my waist. It was super quick and easy to straighten my hair and finding the perfect temp to tame my tresses was easy as well. I only gave 4 stars because hair and product naturally get caught in the brush but it's difficult to get it all out and then the unit causes the hair and product to burn and it puts a tremendous amount of smoke in the air. Additionally, I find that my hair doesn't stay straight long when using this device. Initially the hair is straight and looks great but within minutes it starts to get frizzy, regardless of the humidity in the room.
