These need 5v above battery voltage to start charging and 1-2volts above battery voltage to continue charging. Never exceed the voltage limit and remember that voltage goes up when your solar panels get cold, so account for this when setting up your system. The Victron Connect app is great and works through bluetooth. You are able to adjust all charging parameters in the app through your phone with a nice and logical app. Victron release updates fairly frequently and they are always an improvement, I have never regretted an update like one might with a computer or cell phone. Another positive to this is that the updates are stores in the app, so you can take your phone to a place where you have a comtroller needing an udate and successfully update it with no cell service.
