It works sometimes and sometimes doesn't. Useless if you want to use it for film production - it's so unreliable! And some HDMI signals don't work at all, and I have no idea why. Multiple versions of 1.4 thru 2.0 HDMI cables were used (Amazon, Secur-O-Max, and Monoprice brands). For audio only connections, used RCA (L/R to 3.5mm) and Optical cables.In using this 1x2 HDMI splitter, every A/V equipment I hooked up not only worked, but worked very well. The signal looked clean on my 4K and 1080P HDTVs (even though advertised for 2K/4K displays, it works well for 1080p resolution, too). I didn’t see any pixilation or poor picture quality. I watched high-definition content on the Comcast/Xfinity Cablebox, both live shows and those recorded on DVR. The picture quality appeared equally good whether I connected the splitter or removed it. I got the same positive results from watching bluray movies and streaming HD-content on Netflix, YouTube, and even Crunchyroll on my HTPC (custom built, Cat7 hard-wired ethernet cable). When I was finally done testing, there weren’t any problems to report in terms of picture quality. I'm impressed!NOTE: At least once I disconnected the HDMI before powering down my equipment, not a good idea. It’s advised to turn everything off before disconnecting/reconnecting cables. For example, if the screen ever goes blank and you lose signal, turn off HDTV, A/V Receiver, etc., connect or disconnect cables, wait a few moments (about 10 seconds or so), then turn back on. For the 1x2 splitter, Red light is power, Blue light is HDMI connected.As for the Audio Extractor, it works as described. I connected HDMI from PC to Extractor Input, then HDMI Output to HDTV for video. Then, I connected Audio Extractor to Receiver using both RCA L/R to 3.5mm (white/red) and Optical cables (didn’t test Coaxial). No issues, device displayed video on HDTV and audio went through receiver. Double-checked by testing on another video display with separate 2.1 audio. The Z625 has RCA and Optical connectivity options. Again, no problems to report. The extractor device was able to display HDMI signal from X1 cablebox and bluray player while audio was blasting songs and movie action sound effects nicely through the Logitech 2.1 setup. It works as advertised.CONCLUSION:After extensive testing, I highly recommend both the splitter and audio extractor from EZCOO seller.If I had to complain about any one thing, it’d be that there’s only a USB power cable included. Would’ve been nice to buy these with a USB to AC adapter for those that prefer to plug into the wall or surge protector.If anything else comes up, I’ll update this.
