This meant there was no way it would fit in the casing on my shower pump. Had I read the negative reviews before purchase I would not have used this supplier, but it is interesting that the first review pointing out the misleading information was in 2015! For most applications the size of this capacitor will not be critical, but it is still reasonable to expect a technical item to be accurately specified, particularly when the issue has been pointed out by customers.Incidentally, the supplier will accept the capacitor as a return. However, the cost of the postage is almost as much as the value of the item, so it is not worthwhile to send it back. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Economical shower pump starting solution. *by H***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 October 2018* Solved the problem of my Salamander shower pump not starting. It was becoming more and more reluctant to start, requiring me to hold the shower head in the tray, and eventually it gave up altogether. This was accompanied by a loud humming noise from what I later realised was the capacitor. The one supplied here has a slightly higher maximum voltage rating to the original, but I understand that the key is that it must not be lower. The important thing is to get the resistance right - in this case 10 UF. Pump motor now kicks in immediately and shower works a treat. (Salamander's technical support we're very friendly, but suggested that the problem lay in the flow rate from the tank, and even said that I may have to replace the pump with a more powerful one, or a negative head one!
