Technically you could run this to a power outlet as the cable can support 8amps running through it if you’re only going to be powering some low powered devices, but don’t risk it because someone in your home will attempt to plug something that draws more than that, it’s just something that happens. For outlets get the 2.5mm. This 1.0mm cable for my lighting was great. It was easy to work with, flexible enough to put around corners and in trunking to not cause issues, easy to strip and re-sleeve, it was a joy to work with. Not had any issues so far with brittleness as others have mentioned, it’s been reliable so far and I only needed 10 metres so was great value. 10 metres arrived and it was correctly 10 metres. I can highly recommend this cable.
