It’s heavy. Sandy action out of the box. Terrible ergonomics. It’s glorious. Other affordable overbuilt knives are often clones made by off name brands with garbage steel. This has an appropriately tough steel with a thick blade, making it viable for abusive prying tasks, or honestly whatever the hell you want. It’s like 35 bucks and weighs three pounds, go ahead and split bricks with it. Why not. This thing is bigger than pictures can convey. The handle feels absolutely massive. Some knives disappear in the pocket, this knife will make your pocket disappear. It comes with a completely loosey goosey pocket clip that can’t just be tightened from the outside. Looks like you gotta take it apart and tighten some screws on the inside of the handle scale too. The action is so sandy that it won’t drop shut even with its HEAVY blade. If you want a premium feeling knife with a chunky blade, the st276 is one of the best feeling knives I’ve ever handled. This is not that. This is a 35 dollar display of your masculinity and lack of refined taste. Also, you COULD use it as anything from a flathead screwdriver to a small hatchet. It’s not really the most practical choice for either of those things, but you could probably manage to take a tree down with this thing if you absolutely had to. Or if you ever need ballast, it could be handy. Door breaching tool. The possibilities are endless. Personally, I like it because it feels totally ridiculous and is very fun to fidget with. You could legitimately manage a variety of non “edc knife tasks” with it, though. To me, it feels like a physical representation of American machismo, made in China and profited on by Jeff Bezos. So it’s also unintentional social commentary, which I find very amusing.
