Firm enough to hold the feet properly but so amazingly soft and supple its almost like going for a long walk in strong soled comfy slippers! The day after I got them I decided to do a decent length walk just to see how they'd manage. I walked from St Austell to Mevagissey and back. A 10 mile round trip that takes in normal paved area's [smooth going] , a trail through the Kingswood [uneven and gravelly] and then the clay trail with steep inclines, gravel, scree, and back to paved. The trainers were simply amazing. Soft throughout on the uppers, enough give and bounce in the soles to maintain comfort the entire journey, well ventilated enough that there was no overheating of my feet and by the time I had completed the journey hardly any form of soreness to my feet beyond the sort of tiredness you'd expect for the distance and terrain -only less of it! I honestly thought these would just be cheapo nonsense for the back garden. WRONG WRONG WRONG! Forget the designer labels. These are the dogs whatsits! No hesitation in recommending them. I think I'm distance walking on a 'hardy' marshmallow is the thought that went through my mind at the 6 mile point! Superb and surprised. However today I have been into morrisons and noticed my feel sticking to the floor, when I looked at the sole I noticed the design is acting like suction cups… I’ve since noticed I stick to my laminate floor and I pop when I take a step 😂 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ better than ok for the money *by J***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 February 2019* Designer trainers they are not. However I must say they look pretty good and are extremely comfortable. I use orthotic insoles and they are roomy enough to accommodate them. If you are not bothered about wearing labels, but just want decent looking comfortable trainers, these are great. I got them in black and am very happy with them. in fact I might get another pair.
