    First let me say that the design of this bottle is fantastic. It has a typical shaker lid but with a very sturdy clip that attaches easily and securely to a backpack. Inside the cup there is a strainer that holds back the ice from clogging the spout. It has two bottom compartments that screw on to the base of the bottle. One has a divider that separates the compartment into four areas. My daughter loved that she could put a dry snack into one compartment and a fruit type snack with moisture content into the other and keep them both fresh until recess. Everything disassembles easily to wash and there are no difficult/impossible-to-clean areas.However (you were waiting for the other shoe to fall, weren’t you?), this bottle dropped on a wood floor shortly after we bought it, and a surprising amount of the plastic chipped, including the bottom-most of the two compartments, rendering that part completely useless. Now, I know that a wood floor isn’t the softest surface, but I’m comparing to other items I’ve dropped that haven’t broken from similar falls. The design is everything my daughter was looking for but the plastic is rather thin and brittle. We are getting one more to get her through the school year, but I will have my eyes open for something with a better grade of plastic for the future and won’t get this one a third time.
