It keeps my cold water cold all day and if I put ice in it, it stays icy for 8 plus hours. I knock it over all the time and it doesn't leak. And very important to me; is the LID IS VERY easy to clean. The handle makes it easy to find the drinking hole while on the move. The stainless appears to be of excellent quality materials and I love the color! I have Stanley and Yetti and I prefer this for everyday use and trips. It is cheaper and does exactly the same as the more expensive brand but doesn't leak like they do. And yes, they steal this one just as often as the others. I have found the Stanly hard to remove the lid, I don't have that issue with the Contigo. It fits nicely in all my vehicles. I have one for my dog and me to come back to when we go on short hikes.

**Q: How long does it keep beverages hot and cold?**
A: It keeps my coffee hot for about 2 to 3 hours. It is much better at keeping something cold. I have  had soda and ice cubes left overnight and still have the ice solid in the morning.

**Q: Is the mug itself dishwasher safe, or just the lid?**
A: I have put both lid and mug in the dishwasher, top rack. Lid is fine. Mug has fine scratches on the blue finish that are starting to become noticeable after severalyears of use.

**Q: Is the interior stainless steel?**
A: Yes it is stainless steel on the interior.

**Q: Is it bpa free since it has a plastic lid?**
A: yes it is BPA free

Update: Product was delivered on time to the correct address, which was corrected right away in the tracking. Love the color and the product arrived in perfect condition! Also this mug is good quality, doesn't leak, and keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. Order states the item was delivered to Bend. The delivery address is Not in Bend. I have not received the product even though the tracking states it was delivered today. I will update my review if this problem is rectified. I also didn't see an option to contact the seller.
