Would this mouthwash help?** A: I don't think so as it is a strong treatment for inflammation and only for short term use. Geographic tongue's cause is not known but is not contagious and it may go on its own anyway. If you want to try something that old remedy of spoonful of salt in glass of water used as saline mouthwash may be worth a go.
