You have to go to Sabrent's website and download a Firmware update. Then carefully follow the instructions for the exe file. Once I did that and rebooted I could see the drive, and then partitioned it into separate 1Tb and 2Tb sectors. This only works with 3.5” hard drives. Luckily I was able to access the data from my last computer. My previous Sabrent 2 drive version seemed to have given up the ghost. This item is a very good replacement to that item. Would recommend. Data recovery is fast with the use of USB3 connectivity. The hard drives don’t seem to get hot. The item is silent in use I suspect the flap that covers the hard drive deadens the sound. Good value for money.
