Some of the other buttons that are for TV apps like prime TV and others must need to be programmed because they don’t work, but I really wanted it so that I would have the ability to see all the buttons at night and it lights up great you can also turn off the light up part of it to save on battery, but it does turn off automatically after a few seconds, and when you touch it again, the lights would go on if you didn’t turn the switch off at the top. I was surprised that I wouldn’t have to program it all. I just put in the batteries and pointed at the TV and it was ready to go. I do think, however, it should’ve come with instructions on how to otherwise program the rest of it, but I’m sure you could find those instructions online or through the seller of this.
