A: Yes you can it has three settings.1) Sound and lights2) lights only3) No lights no sound Hope this helps

**Q: Does it come with a certificate of authenticity?**
A: Yes and its realy good looking when on wall and light up music is very clear had mine nearly three years and only changed batteries twice and keeps time.

**Q: Hi strange one, what is it made from?**
A: Hi Not sure I'm afraid. thought it was plastic till I looked at it again.  I really can't say. Sorry.

**Q: Does it tick?**
A: I also bought it for a gift . Instruction booklet said sound can be turned off,though l cannot remember if that included the tick. BUT, it looks absolutely fabulous. Worth any tick.
