We used in at the rim of Palo Duro Canyon for four days where there were sustained winds of 15 to 20 and sometimes gusts up to 40 to 50 mph. With our Jeep providing some cover, it performed very well. I drove the provided thin wire stakes deep into the soil which was a sandy clay mix and they held for the three nights we were there. We have better stakes but I wanted to see how the provided ones would do if we were to forget them and they did the job. The tent’s shape allows the wind to blow over it easily and it has much quieter than several other larger tents setup around us. The nighttime temperatures were in the lower 40s but the tent’s inside temperature remained about 65 degrees without a the need for a heater. Ventilation was more than adequate enough that we experienced no condensation inside. We were fortunate enough that it did not rain any of the time we were there. The seams and construction seem robust enough that it’d do well in the rain but we’ve not yet any to know for sure.It is large enough to accommodate a full sized inflatable mattress along with a medium sized tote with our clothes and morning essentials. There’s enough space to sit up inside comfortably and for two to dress and move around each other.Setup was a breeze. You pull it from its circular bag and and just toss it on the ground. From there, it expands on its own into its fully assembled shape and you just start staking out your lines. We ordered ours with the poles to support the entryway awning but opted to keep the awning shut to reduce dust coming in.Teardown is definitely an acquired skill. It’s not hard but it can be cumbersome and frustrating the first few tries. There are videos and the instructions are printed inside the storage bag.
