I love the sole on these shoes which offer an aggressive tread pattern in addition to being genuine rubber - snow and slippery conditions are common where I live and it's hard to find a classy shoe that doesn't act like an ice skate in bad weather. One comment on sizing: It has always seemed to me like European manufacturers look at sizes like a set of loose guidelines. The exact same "size" from different companies will often be completely different. These run a half size small. The shoes arrived and looked great; however, they were just a little too long. He was worried that they would be too narrow in the half size down, so we returned. It is sometimes tough to find good looking men's shoes that are not too square toed and not too pointed. Unfortunately these were just a little too narrow for his foot.
