Good for cutting and pivoting in indoor sports? Support the ankles and feet?** A: I think the grip and traction is pretty good. I play tennis every day and it seems to hold on just perfectly. **Q: How is the arch support in these?** A: My 13 year old wears these and he said they are more of a minimal arch support. But I came to Amazon (like many) looking for a deal and reviews. So I'm returning the favor.I've had Adidas cross-training shoes in the past so I knew what to expect and here's what those things are:- Snug fit- Narrower shoe- Last forever ** granted I've had these only a few days so I can't guarantee that one.- Good for a variety of movements.- Look hot like fire.My previous training shoe was too wide and and flared at the heel a ton. I could not use them to practice agility work, the fat heel interfered when I would bike (which I do a lot as a commute), they would loosen throughout the day, and were heavy. All of these issues are solved with this shoe. I use them for weightlifting, moderate running, shooting basketball (when I'm too lazy to switch into bball shoes), biking, and I stand in them for long periods while I'm at work (I work at a gym). I have not had issues with these shoes at all. Great support for weightlifting, decent cushion for running, narrow form factor for biking, and comfortable enough for my 8 hour shifts.Please note, these are cross trainers, not running shoes. They do not provide as much cushion or arch support as a typical running shoe would provide. I expected that with this purchase and therefore I'm happy with what I got. That is not to say that these aren't comfortable and you're unable to run in them. They will feel notably different than a typical running shoe.Traction is fantastic on this shoe, I actually like using these on the basketball court because it feels very similar to a basketball shoe in terms of floor grip.Depending on your rec-lacing of the shoe (which I recommend when you get them, the way they had them laced was a bit weird out of box) the tongue may slide sideways depending on your grip.**Only gripe that I have about the shoe is the ease of tying and lacing them. The eyelets for the laces grip them a lot so you have to be deliberate about tightening your shoe and you will not get as snug of a fit if you're trying to tie them in 5 seconds and get going. It's not a big thing, and any serious athlete prepping for a workout will actually make sure their shoes are tied correctly so this barely counts as a con.Check around for the shoe, the price is right I got them for about $40 with the right deal. Overall a great purchase I would pay about $70-$80 for these based on the quality. It's light and has held up well under bodyweight exercises, plyometric workouts, and shorter (3-4 mile) runs. Quality activewear look without being either boring or eye bleedingly bright.I have a fairly narrow foot and wear a size 11 in most tennis shoes, this fit true to size in length and not too loose at any point when laced up. So if you have a wider foot be careful with the sizing. Normal width or wide feet may feel tight in these shoes. Fantastic for light jogs, but I use them mainly for resistance training workouts, stair climber, light cycling cardio, or just walking around for comfort. Great stability with the flat base and good arch support (I am not sure how these would work with a flat foot). Decent cushioning, but obviously not as good as a dedicated walking or comfort shoe. Very light and breathable, without being flimsy like some other brands who are cheaping out by making their shoes material-thin and advertising them as "minimalist" shoes... cool if you like that, but I have never had good experience with those as my feet need at least some cushion. My only big gripe with these is that the insole doesn't last very long - but that's to be expected if you're a heavier than average body weight and use them several times a week.
