Because each phone has a hole all the way through it, it amplifies the student's voice and helps them to self-correct if needed. They are quite loud, however, so I would be careful not to speak too loudly the first time! These phones also appear to be made of very durable plastic. I would definitely buy them again if I needed more for my classroom.

These phones work well for reading or speech practice for young students! I bought these phones to use with a kindergarten student who was struggling with his speech to the point that it was impacting his reading in the classroom. We learned about this product from the Kinder teacher. She uses these in class to help the children hear themselves as they are read. My 3 year old likes to play with these while his 5 year old is reading. Very durable plastic. We have had these for a few months and they are toddler-playing approved! They have been dropped and have been in the car, garage, outside, and they are still going strong. Once you pass the reading phase, they are still good to use for playtime. It is nice to have a 2 pack as I can keep one in the car and another at the house.
