I would not use to super hard surface or objects though (e.g., frozen meat) but very handy to handle fruits, veggies, bread, soft meat, and virtually anything. It's also pretty to look and easy to clean. My previous knives served me about 7years but the blades are dull and chipped. Now I use this one alongside the stainless steel knife (for harder objects) and they are pretty good pair in the kitchen. I would not put it in the dishwasher even though it's dishwasher safe.
