This ramen is intensely spicy—but incredibly delicious. Preparation is simple: boil the noodles for about 5 minutes, then mix in the included sauce and seasoning. The instructions say to drain half the water and keep the rest—but I’d recommend going a step further: drain all the noodle water and substitute it with chicken broth if you have it. It adds a much richer, deeper flavor. For an easy upgrade, add shredded store-bought rotisserie chicken—it makes the dish more filling and enhances the overall taste. To elevate it even more, sauté chopped scallions, white mushrooms (or your favorite variety), and spinach in a bit of olive oil and sesame oil. Toss the cooked noodles into the pan, mix in the sauce and powder, and it’s ready to serve. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different vegetables—this ramen is very forgiving and works well with whatever you have on hand. If the spice level is too much, lower the heat and quickly stir in one or two eggs along with a splash of milk—it helps mellow the intensity while adding a creamy texture. Fair warning: this ramen packs serious heat, so give friends and family a heads-up before serving. Definitely not something to sneak up on kids, older adults, or anyone sensitive to spice.
