Review: Glad I installed this, helps noticeably with road noise - This stuff does make a difference, but it will depend where you install it and what vehicle you're installing it in. If you're driving an older or cheaper vehicle or one with little sound insulation this will help you more than with expensive or newer vehicles. If your door panels and the floor of your car are just sheet metal, B-Quiet will deaden vibration of that metal as well as block a decent amount of road and engine/drivetrain noise from coming through those surfaces. It may also help a bit with insulating your car when using the heat or AC. I installed this in the doors and under the carpeting in a 2000 Honda S2000. One Saturday, I had time to do the passenger door and under the passenger carpet area. I didn't have time to do the driver side on that day, and driving it, I didn't notice much of a difference, because I was still dealing with the road and ambient noise coming from under my seat and through my door. A couple weeks later I installed the B-Quiet on the driver side, and was excited to take the car for a spin. Not thinking, I put the top down because it was a nice day. I didn't notice any difference because there was so much wind noise. So keep in mind, in a convertible, this won't really help you with the top down. I then put the top up, and drove around in neighborhoods and on the highway. I noticed on the highway that things were quieter, sounds were duller. When I drove over the normal cracks and bumps of the highway, the car felt less like a Honda and more like a BMW. I grinned a bit at how much this stuff had helped and really enjoyed the lack of constant white noise coming from the left, right, and underneath me. In neighborhoods, most of the noise in the car comes from the engine anyway. When you aren't traveling very fast, there isn't a ton of road noise. For this reason B-Quiet Extreme seems to mostly help on the highway. I'm interested to see if it makes things quieter when driving in the rain too. In the picture, see how it contours over the shapes inside the door. To block road noise, you want complete coverage, or as close as you can get. You can double layer it if you have extra, but do a single layer first on all your application surfaces to make sure you have enough before doing a double layer, and make sure to double up on areas that have more sound coming from them, which will depend on the vehicle. This stuff sticks really well, but if you accidentally touch it to the wrong area before it's quite where you want it, you can remove it without too much effort and place it where it needs to be. Once it's placed, contour it to the surfaces with your fingers, and use your hand to smooth it down to avoid bubbles. I cut pieces off the roll with a pair of scissors, which was not that hard. To install it under the carpet of the car, I removed the seats, the door sill plates, and a couple other connectors and panels, then lifted up the carpet. It's important to clean a surface before installing B-Quiet Extreme. I used paper towels with some rubbing alcohol on them. Mostly they just picked up dust, sand, and fragments of leaves, etc. Let it air dry which won't take long with alcohol, and install B-Quiet. Cut this stuff to the shapes that you need and don't leave open areas on your application surfaces if you can help it.

This stuff does make a difference, but it will depend where you install it and what vehicle you're installing it in. Effective and easy to apply without tools. Cuts easily with scissors, conforms and sticks well in normal temperatures. Damps resonances very well, and isn't too heavy.
