Some reviewers say the keys are slightly narrower than a real piano's.** A: I didn't measure them, but I am used to playing a full-sized grand piano every day, and in a two-hour rehearsal yesterday I did not have to compensate for any differences in key width between the NP12 and my home piano. If there is any difference, then, it is too small to make any difference to a professional player. **Q: Does this keyboard have a midi output?** A: On the back of the keyboard is a usb connector. It's size type-b, that square shape some printers use. (Doesnt come in the box). This not the old 5-pin midi connector; this transmits midi over a usb cable (sometimes called something like midi-to-usb host). This makes it easier to plug it into your laptop (or ipad with camera connection kit) and immediately start controlling midi apps. The older np-11 has a 5 pin, I believe.
